Thoughtful Thursday--It is Not Death to Die

In the words of a dear friend, my blog has gotten "cobwebby". So, I didn't want another Thursday to slip by without a post.

My precious grandmother, 'Guh', who has suffered from Alzheimers disease for the last 15 years or so, is very near the end of her earthly journey. It is amazing how good her physical health has continued to be for so many years, but now she is rapidly deteriorating.

She has been a faithful follower of Jesus for close to 70 years and I know she is ready to go and be with Him. People talk about how special the prayers of mothers and grandmothers are for their lost children and grandchildren and I totally understand. She prayed for my parents for years and then me. The Lord heard her prayers and saved my family!

I will be posting more about her soon, so you can know how special my grandmother Jewel is. If you think of it, pray for her comfort as she passes from this life to the next, and for my mom and her sisters, as they grieve the loss of their mother.

Some pages from a book she filled in years ago.

  1. Yay! A new post! What an awesome testimony it is to see how your grandmother prayed for your family--and now to see her prayers answered. Our faithfulness carries on, doesn't it? What a sweet reminder to be faithful--knowing that our own lives aren't the only ones affected by our actions. Thanks, Sunny!
